Abstract

Chronic inflammatory diseases can promote atherosclerosis, with a risk of atherothrombosis. Acute coronary syndrome is a cardiovascular emergency whose prognosis is closely linked to the speed of treatment. Therefore, in any patient with an inflammatory disease presenting with chest pain, it is imperative to rule out myocardial infarction as a priority. In addition to controlling traditional risk factors, prevention requires optimal control of the inflammatory disease activity.
